Charisma Carpenter

 Charisma Carpenter was born July 23 70 years ago. She starred as Cordelia Chase in Buffy the Vampire Slayer's supernatural thriller (1997-1999) as well as its spin-off series Angel (1999-04). She also played Kyra in Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablancas in Veronica Mars (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell in The Lying Game (2012-2013), and Lacy in The Expendables film series (2010-2012 ).

 

 

  Carpenter was born in Las Vegas (Nevada) as the daughter of Christine Carpenter who is working in the bird sanctuary, and Don Carpenter, an entrepreneur. Carpenter is from Spanish (from her maternal grandmother), French, German and German descent. Carpenter was a student at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas.[6] She was also part of a song and dance troupe which performed in Las Vegas Valley at nine years old.

 

 

  Carpenter was Carpenter was 15 years old, her family moved to Rosarito Beach, Baja California Mexico. She then moved to San Diego, California. She went to Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter went on a trip around Europe following her graduation. Carpenter returned to San Diego in 1991 and worked as an aerobics instructor and videostore clerk and property manager. In 1991 she was working as a cheerleader for the San Diego Chargers football team, In 1992, she moved to Los Angeles.

 

 

  Henry Hubbard Jr. was a former San Diego officer and serial rapist who tried to subdue her and two male friends as they were swimming in San Diego in 1991. During the fight that ensued, her two friends and Hubbard were shotand forced him to flee from the scene The two friends escaped the attack. Hubbard was arrested, later convicted and sentenced to 56 years of prison for a string of robberies and rapes. Carpenter took Hubbard's police-issue flashlight from the beach, which he left at the scene, and the flashlight turned out to be an important piece of evidence against him.

 

 

  Carpenter was placed at No. 31 on the list of AskMen's Top 99 Most Desirable Women 2002[30as well as No. 44 on their 2005 list. Carpenter declared that she does not consider herself to be sexually attractive, even though she is. Carpenter was included on the cover of the magazine as well as in a 10 page nude pictorial in the June 2004 issue. People magazine asked her 2005 whether she would pose again for Playboy. I joined Playboy because of a specific reason. Playboy was more than just an investment in my financial future but also a good choice for my current circumstance. My son was born and I'd gained 50 pounds through pregnancy. I wanted to feel like my old self again. I wanted to be attractive and attractive. I thought, "What if I went completely sexy?"
