Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish actor and model since 11 November 1996. Her debut came in a Bond film called A View to a Kill in the year 1985. She starred in 1989 as Nazi-sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan Donevan is in A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988), and Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) are other roles. Doody began modeling after she was approached. The outcome proved to be a profitable career. Doody stringently avoided glamour and nude work a clause which she extended to her acting career. After being spotted by of the director who cast a new James Bond film she accepted the role of Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was as a character in John Willis Screen World Volume 2. She was one of twelve promising new actors for 1986. 38. At just 18 as she played the film, Doody was - and remains - the youngest Bond girl that has ever appeared. A different early film had her in a minor role in a small role as IRA Siobhan Doovan, a member of the IRA in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) which featured Mickey Rourke. Doody was unspoken as Archibald Craven's spouse Lilias during the film adaptation of his fantasy, 1987's version from The Secret Garden. The Storyteller episode from 1988 included her in the leading role of Sapsorrow, alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress acted alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before she took perhaps her most well-known role in her career as Austrian Archaeologist and Nazi-sympathiser Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in which she starred alongside Harrison Ford. Doody was in the film in the film with Sean Connery, who played Indy's father. Doody played co-starring in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British miniseries Selling Hitler, which was inspired by the publication fraud named The Hitler Diaries. She later moved to Hollywood. The actress later became Flannery her agent as well as her girlfriend on the set of Major League II. She was chosen to be an alternative to Cybill Shepherd who had been L'Oreal's spokesperson. After almost a decade away from screen Doody came back to acting, by playing a minor role in the 2003 British comedy movie The Actors with Michael Caine playing herself in an award ceremony scene. Doody was a co-star, along alongside Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film version to King Solomon's Mines. Doody appeared on Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. The Clinic, a medical drama on RTE. The Asphyx was her 2011 remake. The year 2011 saw her debut on the first season of two in the E4 comedy show Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way. In November she received the Almeria tierra de Cine Award and received a Star on Almeria's Walk of Fame.
